1099a Typewriter error

How can you correct a typewriter error on a 1099a form. Is there a way? Or will it just need to be processed by hand.

The form instructions say to not correct mistakes on the form but rather re-fill out a new one on the same sheet or another, and check the box "void" to void the one you make a mistake on.
